No data collected by us

Tortuga 1680 does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools and no connection to our servers.

Game data on your device

Your career, settings and the hints you have already read are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes them as well.

iCloud

If iCloud is on, the app also backs up your saved game to the iCloud key-value store of your Apple Account. This data stays in your iCloud account with Apple; we have no access to it. You can turn this off in the iOS settings under iCloud.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center, the app reports your score to the “Best Career” leaderboard when a career ends. Other players see your Game Center name and result there. Apple processes this data under its own terms. If you are not signed in, nothing is reported.

Purchase

Apple handles the purchase, including payment and receipt; we receive no personal data, only anonymous sales figures.

App Store and TestFlight

When you download the app from the App Store or TestFlight, Apple processes data under its own terms. If you agree, Apple provides us with crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you.

Your rights

Since we do not store any personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Brandenburg Commissioner for Data Protection.
